Earlier this year TechSmith released Camtasia Studio 8. The program is more powerful this time around and they have added everything users have been asking for. Features like green screen support, Crop, Stitch, Copy and a Multi-track Timeline. Camtasia remains very easy to use and it should be your pick if you are interested in doing Screencapture or need to spice up an old PowerPoint presentation. This application is truly engaging, interactive and loaded with features usually found in more expensive software suites. It is my video editor of choice and the one solution I recommend. The use of Camtasia Studio in conjunction with TechSmith’s Screencast service are the winning combination for video lecture integration, project based learning or flipped classroom instruction.
