About This Event

The release of HFC refrigerants is one of the most potent global warming gases in use today, and their release is preventable. Reclamation is the reuse of recovered refrigerant which is then certified to meet newly manufactured refrigerants without the need for manufacturing and the carbon intensity of mining minerals and creating significant carbon emission in their production. Not only does this increase the efficiency of the refrigerant lifecycle, which saves on cost, but it also prevents emissions from reaching the atmosphere in the first place.

RMI’s Raghav Muralidharan will be presenting at this Climate Week event from Hudson Technologies titled “Reclaiming the Future Togetherâ„¢: Power On the Growth of Refrigerant Reclamation,” alongside other experts in the field. The panel will discuss the financial, policy and structural challenges and opportunities of refrigerant reclamation, with an emphasis on the cross-cutting sector perspectives that each panelist brings to the conversation.
