Alyssa is an associate on the Clean Competitive Grids team within RMI’s Carbon-Free Electricity Program. She researches strategies to advance electric transmission and grid-scale renewables development, as well as affordable, clean solutions for large load growth.
Background
Alyssa initially joined the Institute through the RMI Transmission Fellowship. Before RMI, she worked with the education research agency WestEd as a research associate. She supported resource allocation, systems planning, and workforce research and technical assistance. Her work also examined the benefits of investments in sustainable school facilities.
Earlier in her career, Alyssa served as a research assistant at the Energy Institute at Haas where she analyzed labor union strategies in environmental policymaking conflicts, and at the Berkeley Institute for Young Americans where she studied generational differences in values, voting behaviors, and socioeconomic risk.
